Hurley & The Blue Dots will be entertaining at the free party friday night feb 26th.
The duo were formed back in 2004 by Mathias Blixt on guitar, backing vocals, harmonica and Fredrich Rönnholm on lead vocals, drums, harmonica. Their aim was to capture the energy and feeling of the raw and unpolished blues and early rock‘n’roll from the late 40’s to the early 50’s such as their heroes Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley and Howlin’ Wolf - amongst others.
Even their rework of tunes by bands such as Motorhead, Ac/Dc, Led Zeppelin or Johnny Cash do get that special “Hillbilly R&B” – treatment as they label it themselves. All the way from the “Emådelta”. Their mix of all these elements and their energy brings every house down wherever they go. In 2009 their cd “Here To Rumble” was released.
